Jennifer was raised in Lyons, Ohio. Her mother was a victim of domestic violence. She is a graduate of Spring Arbor University with a Master Degree in Business. Jennifer is married to Brian and has three children and one grandson. Her passion for the safe shelter is to break the cycle one child at a time.
Janette Weinstein
(Parent Connect)
Vice President
Janette was raised in Fulton County and is aware of the need for support for victims of domestic violence in the area.
After working in a Community Mental Health agency for 8 years, she founded a company called Parent Connect which provides coaching and educational support for parents.
Janette is a graduate from Spring Arbor University with a degree in the Family Life Education field.
Ella Herr
(William Vaughan Company)
Treasurer
Ellie Herr is a lifelong resident of Fulton County and works as a staff accountant for William Vaughan
Company. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and the University of Phoenix. Ellie is a member of The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic
Church Finance Council and is currently working on getting her CPA.
Ellie is married to her supportive husband Joe Herr. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her
family and volunteering for various groups.
Monica Peterson
(UPS Freight)
Secretary

Monica Peterson is a loving mother of 3 and grandmother of 4. She is employed as an
operational clerk for UPS Freight. Monica states: "I have personal experience with Domestic Violence.
I'm hoping by joining JJ Safe House I can make a difference with domestic violence within our community."
Kristie Kwiatkowski
(Merrill Lynch)

Kristie, has 25 years in the financial industry, 20 years at Merrill Lynch. She has relationships with clients that span multiple generations. A lifelong resident of Toledo-Maumee area, Kristie began her career as a teller at Society Bank – eventually becoming a supervisor and team leader at Society National Bank (when its name changed). Kristie moved to Merrill Lynch in 1996. In addition to answering clients’ inquiries and handling their transactional and account requests, Kristie serves as a clients’ liaison – between other team members and specialists throughout the firm.
Kristie and her husband, Bob, spend most of their free time with their daughter and two sons – watching them play baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, golf, gymnastics, singing and dancing. To “relax,” Kristie enjoys coaching her kids, traveling, rooting for the Detroit Tigers, and the football teams of University of Toledo and University of Michigan. Kristie is active in events to protect against Domestic Violence, and support Breast Cancer Awareness, U.S Veterans, and Progeria.
Con Keefer
(Keefer Building Company)
Board Member since 2015
Con's qualifications for Construction Management are Senior Project Management, and Design Builder.
He Offers over 30 years of experience providing the organization, planning, administration, and management of construction projects for multimillion-dollar organizations. He ensures compliance with regulations and legalities, including the attainment and maintenance of permits and hiring design professionals.
Con monitors project phases to ensure the on time and within budget delivery of products & services. His areas of expertise include Contract Negotiations, Communications, Facility Management, legal Consulting, P&L Administration, Project Management, Proposal Preparation, Sales Development, Start-Up Operations,
Strategic Planning, Federal Government Project Management and Federal Contract Compliance Requirements, Network Planning and IT Installation.
Con has been a wonderful addition to the Board of Directors helping JJ Safe House to build relationships and fundraising to support ongoing efforts in protecting victims of domestic violence.
Crystal Kline
(St. Luke's Hospital)
Board member since 2016
Crystal brings over 9 years of experience in the medical field as she cares for the community at large. She currently works at St. Luke’s hospital in the cardiac ICU. She enjoys bringing her expertise to local nonprofits that advocate for the overall health and well-being of women. Crystal is currently working toward her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a strong passion and desire to bring awareness and implement new policies and procedures to better care for victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking.
Crystal is married to her supportive husband Duncan and has three very active children Tanner, Tenley and Trey. Crystal appreciates having a full plate showing her children how important it is to strive for goals in life and having an immense love for others. She enjoys quality time with her family, exercising, and attending local sporting events.
Tricia Schneider
(First Federal)

Trisha Schneider, Assistant Vice President with First Federal Bank of the Midwest, is a lifelong resident of Fulton County. She lives in Wauseon with her husband and 4 children. Along with supporting the vision of JJ SafeHouse, she is involved in several other community organizations such as The Wauseon Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement, and the Fulton County Development Corporation.
Brandy Bryan
(Danberry Company)
Board Member since 2017
Brandy was born and raised in Northwest Ohio. She is a graduate of Wauseon High School where she often visits family and friends. She is a licensed Realtor in Ohio and Michigan for The Danberry Co., Realtors since 2002.
Her greatest and dearest mentor was her grandmother, Virginia Synder, who encouraged her to always be herself, be strong and confident and to hold herself with high integrity. It is these strong morals that she is now teaching her beautiful daughter. Brandy and Bree volunteer at local nursing homes and help with several community clean-up projects, including Habit for Humanity and Meals on Wheels.
Brandy is also very dedicated and passionate for Danberry’s charity of choice, The Danberry Treasure Chest. Her office has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that go to our local kids in need at The Toledo Children’s Hospital.
Rita Gose
Board Member since 2015
Rita is retired after 29 years with Fifth Third Bank and is originally from Toledo's north end. She has two step-children and four grandchildren. Her goal working with JJ SafeHouse is to give women and children a safe environment to grow.
Anne Izzi
(Univ. of Toledo College of Law)
Board Member since 2017
Anne Izzi earned her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University and juris doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law. She has been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 2009. As Director of Sponsored Programs at the University of Toledo, Anne is experienced in writing and managing federal, state and private grants. She is hoping that her knowledge in this area may help JJ Safehouse to grow so that it can provide even more help to women and children in need of shelter from domestic violence. Anne’s three grown daughters, Alisa, Rosie and Marissa, are her best friends and make her very proud. She lives in Perrysburg with her black lab, Maizy and giant cat, Lola.
