JJ SafeHouse
JJ SafeHouse has taken a very public stand against Domestic Violence and crimes against women. It has been said, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Well, we firmly believe the same village can come together and be a support to a family under the attack of this vicious and brutal killer - Domestic Violence. The deadly weapons an abuser uses come in the form of verbal abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse.
Help Us Shed Some Light
Every 15 seconds, there is a victim of Domestic Violence in the United States. SILENCE is the killer’s ammunition. The reality is an inability to control social media and advancements in technology and location tools; we have decided to use these to our advantage. The local authorities, local business owners, community partners and professionals, and even our next-door neighbor is helping to fight this battle with us. JJ Safehouse provides a safe place for women and their children to live, learn coping skills, communication and problem-solving skills, receive therapy and improve independent living skills. We want to give them the tools it takes to empower themselves for a full recovery and become active and productive members of Fulton County.
The power the monsters have is the darkness. Open the door, turn on the lights, and take away their power. Help us shed some light, become a voice in your community and tackle Domestic Violence together.
